general worker at QSI (sanitation company for local Cargill Meat Solutions (pork producer)) with little more than 2 1/2 years. Dept is Bacon. The plant has run 6 days a week. Since economy soured in 2009 that has changed to 5 days a week, with an accasional Saturday varying from dept to dept.
Update (10/29/17): Bacon still runs on Saturdays right along with Curing and Bellymold - which have been placed next to each other. Cargill sold plant (and several others) to JBS (firm based in Brazil). I have been with QSI for 9 years, which is along time, considering the high turnover.
